Recognition & Leadership
"Humanity is strongest when every culture has a name, every story has value, and every person has a seat at the table."
Sattie Persaud is the Founder of the World Heritage Cultural Center (WHCC) and the Human Intelligence Advisory Group, a global cultural leader working at the intersection of heritage, humanity, education, resilience, and human-centered AI.
Of eighth-generation Indian descent, Sattie was born in Guyana, raised in Suriname, and came to the United States at a very young age through an arranged marriage that became an abusive environment. With very little support, she found what she believes was a way out by the grace of the universe — and she has spent her life turning that second chance into service.
Her journey began far from boardrooms and global stages. As a child, Sattie sold candy and cigarettes as early as age six to help put food on the table. She came from a world where many girls were expected to marry before age 13 and become grandmothers by their mid-twenties. Sattie defied that path. Through sheer will, faith, and fate, she found her voice in America and used it to build something larger than herself.
For more than 21 years, Sattie built WHCC while balancing a demanding 25-year corporate career in finance, treasury, foreign exchange, and global systems — including roles at IBM, UBS, Lehman Brothers, United Technologies, and Otis Elevator Worldwide Corporation — along with deep family responsibilities. Her corporate career helped put food on the table. Her family came next. WHCC was built from what remained — her paycheck, weekends, nights, heart, and soul.
She created WHCC as her thank you to the universe for giving her a way out — a way to give back to the world by creating a platform where cultures could be seen, respected, preserved, and celebrated with dignity. Today, WHCC is connected to more than 850 cultural groups, sharing music, dance, food, storytelling, education, and cultural heritage with communities across the United States and beyond.
Sattie is also the Founder of the Human Intelligence Advisory Group, powered by WHCC, which supports organizations, institutions, and communities in keeping humanity, cultural intelligence, dignity, consent, and sacred knowledge at the center of the age of AI.
Colors of Fate — Forthcoming
Sattie is the forthcoming author of Colors of Fate, a multi-generational story of women, migration, family, resilience, and destiny. Written 21 years ago, the novel remained on the shelf while she devoted herself to corporate work, family responsibility, and building WHCC.
In 2025, after her corporate career came to an end and family obligations naturally shifted, Sattie began dedicating 100% of her time to WHCC, the Human Intelligence Advisory Group, and the long-held vision of building a permanent home for humanity.

The WHCC Business Advisory Council (BAC) is an annual two-day gathering of business leaders, civic leaders, diplomats, cultural advocates, institutional partners, and community members committed to advancing culture, community, and human connection.
Each year, the Council convenes in a different city, hosted in partnership with a participating cultural consulate or international partner. The gathering blends meaningful conversations with cultural experiences, food, music, art, and relationship-building.
In 2026, the WHCC Business Advisory Council will convene in New York City.
The event is open to the public, with registration required. Guests will have the opportunity to experience cultural programming, leadership conversations, artistic presentations, culinary traditions, and dialogue around cultural preservation, education, inclusion, and the future of humanity.
The gathering will include a distinguished Patron Circle Reception for sponsors, council members, diplomats, cultural leaders, and invited guests.
Designed with WHCC's signature emerald and gold aesthetic, the experience honors heritage, dignity, sustainability, and global unity.
Membership includes an annual $5,000 contribution to WHCC. Designed for business and community leaders who wish to play a more active advisory and supporting role in advancing WHCC's mission, cultural initiatives, youth engagement, and the long-term vision for the future WHCC campus.

Working Groups
The WHCC and Women-In-Tech aim to showcase how technology can help sustain the Creative Arts. This project catalogs aspects of ancient and modern civilization — archaeology, architecture, textile, artisan, historical facts, art, fashion, cuisine, scriptures, and trends. Both organizations have a strong global presence and seek to bridge the gap between cultural preservation and technology and innovation. The goal is to create a credible online resource accessible to contributors, students, and leaders from around the globe, while also providing technology to underprivileged communities.
The Global Citizen Committee promotes cultural osmosis and integration. It emboldens youth to discover their holistic place in the global village. Chaired by Alyssa Raghu — a Guyanese/Indian and Mexican heritage singer-songwriter whose talents became evident on the world stage on American Idol (2019 Top 8 Contestant) — this committee helps young people understand their roots and their place in the world.

Youth empowerment and development has always been at the core of WHCC's outreach. A young student of WHCC, Evan was embraced when he suggested spearheading a transformative campaign: "Painting the world brighter one charity at a time." In his own words: "I would like to sell my artwork to help kids that need food, shelter, parents (meant adoption) and other resources." Each year, an annual gala is held where paintings by Evan & Friends are auctioned and proceeds support charities around the globe.
